Short Lid Negative & Print Storage Boxes

Safe, convenient archival quality box storage for your photographs or large negatives. The 4 x 5 size holds 35mm, 120mm, 4 x 5 negatives or postcards, 4 x 6 holds new oversized prints and postcards, 5 x 7 holds postcards or negatives and 8 x 10 holds print/negative pages, contact sheets, etc. The surface image chemistry of a photograph or negative is extremely sensitive to UV light, high temperatures, humidity, atmospheric pollutants and physical damage. Proper storage boxes and environmental conditions will add years of life to these items and is not difficult to achieve. All our boxes have passed the Photo Activity Test developed by ANSI to evaluate box & paper products that store photographic materials. (See Page 48 for our SafeCare Image Archive Freezer Kit.)
We recommend that all photos and negatives be stored in proper size envelopes or Photo/Print storage sleeves prior to box storage. These envelopes help protect sensitive image chemistry from abrasion, finger print damage during handling and chemical reactions between negatives and prints during storage. Envelopes also allow individual item cataloging and identification.
Boxes have reinforced metal edges for extra protection during storage, handling and stacking.
