Silica Gel
Silica Gel-A porous, granular chemically inert silica gel with high absorbent capacity. Controls humidity in small, contained places like exhibit cases. Silica gel can absorb up to 40% of its own weight in water, easily reconditioned by drying in a standard oven at approximately 300 degrees F. for three hours. Blue indicating gel turns from blue to faded pink when saturation is complete. May be mixed with standard gel to indicate absorption rate.
