Archival 4-Sided Wood Base Pedestal Case

Does your collection require the highest level of protection when on display? Made in the U.S. by the leading museum case fabricator, these archival cases meet the exacting standards of conservators, curators and archivists. They exceed basic display cases in a number of ways.

Artifacts are safely displayed in a controlled environment made from inert materials. Cured silicone gaskets isolate the interior from external dust and other pollutants. This design has a back that is set into a welded aluminum frame. The case is free standing and can be used back-to-back or against a gallery wall. Two base/vitrine height options are available. Size dimensions are listed at Length x Depth x Base Height x Vitrine Height.  Cases are all 78” tall.

Vitrines are optically clear ¼” acrylic with museum-grade polished joints. Vitrine joints are chemically welded, stronger than the acrylic itself. Vitrines are held in a unique welded aluminum frame in the base and back panel with special security screws. Lift-off vitrines are available in two heights. UV filtering acrylic is available as an option.

High-density ethafoam decks and back panels are fabric wrapped. Museum-grade linen fabric in your choice of 7 colors. (View Colors)  Back panels and decks are removable. Decks feature a proprietary, adjustable leveling system. Desiccant tiles or packs may be inserted under the deck. For the ultimate case an optional desiccant chamber accessed through a hinged and locked panel in the pedestal allows desiccant servicing without removing the vitrine and artifacts.

Pedestal bases have the quality of fine furniture. Specify base color: choose oak, cherry or maple woods. (View Colors)  If color is not chosen, base will be white.  All pedestal bases are fitted with levelers that adjust for variations in the floor.

One maintenance kit is included with each case order.
