Description
The Solander Museum Case is recognized worldwide as the finest storage protection for valuable prints, photographs, drawings, watercolors and other collections.
The Hollinger Metal Edge Solander Museum Case enhances the standard case with HME proprietary acid-free, lignin-free and buffered heavyweight board on the horizontal surfaces top and bottom. It is the only case available with this high-quality construction. The vertical sides and spine are constructed of low resin basswood providing added strength without extra weight. The exterior is covered in black fabric and the interior is lined with an acid-free, lignin-free and buffered archival paper to protect against acid migration. The clam shell lid opens flat for safe removal of collections. A raised lip along with metal latches ensure a tight closure to protect against light, dust and pollutants. A metal nameplate provides ease of identification while on storage shelves. Available in 8 standard sizes.
