Contour Gauge

Use for making templates of irregular, rounded or complicated shapes

This 10 in. gauge consists of a series of ABS plastic fingers that can be molded into the shape of any contoured surface to create a template for cutting or shaping foam and board. With 19 leaves per inch, the gauge can recreate shapes that can then be traced on foam or board for cutting cavities to fit around or safely cradle the object. The 3 in. deep fingers are gentler than metal and will measure profiles up to 1 1/4 in. deep. Gauge has a ruler on the body delineating both inches and millimeters. To use, press the gauge against the contour to be copied, and then trace the shape onto the material to be cut, allowing a slight space for easy placement and removal of the object. Please note: do not place directly against fragile or delicate surfaces.
