The STAS Monarch rail can be installed directly onto the wall using the included mounting hardware. Its profile is designed with a subtle lower edge that creates a refined shadow line, helping conceal minor wall irregularities while giving the installation a clean, finished appearance.  For architectural projects or premium interior builds, the Monarch rail can also be recessed into the wall during preparation. This allows the rail to blend seamlessly into the surface for an exceptionally minimal, built-in look. When multiple rails are installed together, rail connectors help create a smooth, continuous transition from one section to the next.
