Lantern Slide Envelopes & Storage Box

The four flap enclosure is scored & easily creased to fit the individual slide and forms a protective envelope around the glass slide. Place the glass slide emulsion side down in the four flap envelope. Four flap envelopes are made from 6 pt. acid/lignin-free, unbuffered white paper.

Storage boxes are tan, 60 pt., acid/lignin-free & buffered (pH 8.5) board with reinforced metal edges. Thumb notches help facilitate the opening of the full telescope lid.    

Storage boxes are manufactured from tan acid/lignin-free 60 pt. board with a pH of 8.5 and buffered with 3% calcium carbonate, boxes protect against acid migration and pollutants. The 60 pt. box board is necessary as glass plates are quite heavy when stored together.  Metal edges provide added strength and durability. The lid's thumb notch facilitates opening the full telescope lid.
